Aquamarine Nuggets - my first new product drop in over two years
I can not believe I am saying this
But I have some new jewelry for sale.
COMPLETELY new jewelry.
Not a restock of a tried and true staple.
Not new listings of old craft fair inventory finally making its way to my website.
Not a pre-order of sold-out pieces.
ACTUALLY NEW JEWELRY.
For the first time since… I don’t even know how long it’s been. At least two years, for sure.
I’m pretty sure I haven’t had the inspiration to design new pieces since… before all of my inventory got stolen out of my car in June 2023?
BUT HERE WE ARE.
Last weekend my oldest was invited to a birthday party, for a friend of hers that we don’t know super well. Obviously, we needed a gift, and I just… really did not want to just give cash. That’s boring.
What a convenient time to own a jewelry brand.
I dug through my supplies to find some beads that looked like they fit the birthday girl’s style and whipped up a quick custom necklace.
And then…
I kept sorting and arranging this strand of juicy Aquamarine nuggets into a little mini collection.
There are 15mm hoops, 30mm hoops, and 18” necklaces.
All on .925 sterling silver.
They look like a breath of fresh air.
And they feel like magic.
Just like when I first started.
My brand was built on spontaneous mini-collections, guided by my intuition.
Back then, I’d let the stones inspire me, and release a few one-of-a-kind pieces at a time.
As my business grew, there was a need to streamline, to add in “evergreen” products, expand into low-ticket non-jewelry items to supplement cash flow, and invest in new opportunities…
All of this was needed, but I couldn’t keep up with it and the way that my life spectacularly fell apart through the second half of 2023.
The burnout was real. It was dark. It was heavy. I wasn’t sure there would ever be a way out.
Honestly, I’ve spent a lot of time considering if it was time to just give up.
But I knew I couldn’t.
I just gave myself the grace to focus on keeping the business alive in the most basic sense, focusing on selling the products I already have, streamlining and refining so that one day, there would be room to create again.
Well that time has finally arrived.
And how perfect that it’s all Aquamarine.
Aquamarine is a stone of confidence, truth, taking action.
This is a stone that shows up when it’s time to say what needs to be said.
I’m not sure what the message is right now, maybe it’s just here to remind me:
I’m still here.
I hope this is just the first step into a whole new era.
